A long walk in changing weather!

Hello!
The day started with me waking up at 7.30 and chilling by the computer, and letting Johan sleep. As he was making up at 9.30, we talked about what we are going to do.
We decided to go to Montmartre, and on the way there we ate some brunch, a ham and cheese sandwich, which wasn´t well cooked.
Then we continued on our journey, which took about 1.5 hours to walk, but when we got there, the sight was amazing! we walked around the building and saw a park with a man made waterfall.
From Montmartre we walked to a monument for the battle of Stalingrad, and on the way there it started raining, and when we got there it stopped raining. The site was pretty good with a fountain and parks around it.
From there we walked to the Republic statue. which was pretty cool as well. We had to go the bathroom at that point, so we went to the nearest Mcdonalds and borrowed their bathroom.

We headed back to the hotel after that and chilled for a bit (Johan took a nap) and later on we grabbed something to eat. Afterwards we started planning for tomorrow as we are going to Bayeux and Normandy!

Hello!

Today we woke up relatively early and chilled until 10am. We then made plans to go to Champ Elysses but Johans camera ran out of batteries, so we walked back to the hotel so he could change batteries.

We then decided to change our plans, we headed to the Eiffel Tower, seeing Musee d Orsay on the way. After arriving at the Eiffel Tower, We walked over the bridge to Trocadero, which was very close to the Eiffel Tower and we had an Ice-cream, I had strawberry and Johan had Vanilla.
We then walked to Arc d Triumph, and strolled down Champ Elysses, seeing Grand Palace and both Champ Elysses Gardens and Tuileries Garden, before arriving at the Louvre. We decided to head inside and see the Mona Lisa. it was a lot smaller than expected.
Then we headed back to the hotel and chilled before grabbing something to eat.
We have then had a chill evening just relaxing!

Hello Everybody!
We have arrived in Paris!

The day started early, packing the last of our stuff, and going to the central station in Berlin.
We bought a ticket to Paris, which had a couple of stops.
The first stop was in Hannover, which we had time to grab something to eat on Mcdonalds. After we went to Karlsruhe, and from there to Paris!
We took a cab from the train station in Paris to our hotel, which is very close to Notre Dame! After settling in, we went to grab something to eat, bought some water and walked to Notre Dame and Louvren.

Last day ruined!

Just to Clarify the title, let me tell you!
Last night I got an email about our flight in two days (hence the 29th) and it was at risk of being cancelled because of a strike, apparently the cabin crew are on strike for a week.
This morning I got an email that it was indeed cancelled, and I was trying to get my money back for the ticket, but they can´t apparently find my booking, neither the ticket number or the booking reference!

I´m like "WTF!".

So How are we going to get to Paris tomorrow?
We are going to take a train, which has two stops, instead of getting there at 14.30, we are getting there at 18.30, and instead having a sleep in, we have to get to the train station shit early!
But other than that, we had a chill day.
We went to AlexanderPlatz and bought some clothes, and had some food.
Then we went for a walk, and got back (So I could fix the whole flight thing). We then went and grabbed some food, and now we are going to chill and pack for tomorrow!

Singing in the rain!

WOW! What a day!
We took a walk to the zoological garden, when we got there, it started to rain. We tried to wait it out, but it didn´t work.
So we walked back, going via Branderburger Square, and we thought it was going to clear up when we got back to the hotel, but as soon as we got in, it started pouring down, and as of right now, it even has some thunder!
It is totally insane! So as of right now, we are going to wait it out at the hotel, and depending on how long it will take, hopefully we will do something tonight!
But then again, days like this is bound to happen, it will be lucky, not to have days like this!

Hello!
I´m late again, I was supposed to write this yesterday evening, but the internet was lagging.

Yesterday we walked to the Berlin TV Tower and seeing the surrounding area. We then walked forward seeing a few churches, before heading back and seeing AlexanderPlatz, which had a market.

After we got back, we chilled a bit, before grabbing something to eat. We then took an evening stroll.
What are we planning today?
I´m thinking on heading to the zoological garden, but it depends on what my brother wants to do!

Hello! I know this blog post is kinda late, but here we go!
Yesterday we had a long walk.
The day started off relatively slow, because we were lazy and climbed out of bed about 9.45 am.

We decided on where to go and grabbed something to et at KFC. We headed to Brandenburger square and saw Reichstag. We later went to Victory place, which was a big statue, that you go up to, which we did! It has a very good view of the city!
We then took a long walk from Victory place to Charlottenburg Palace, which was a couple of kilometers from Victory place. The Palace was under reconstruction, which was a big shame!

After that we actually walked from there to Checkpoint Charlie, which made our feet hurt! We chilled at the hotel for a while and then went to grab something to eat, and actually went to bed relatively early!

Hello!
We have arrived in Berlin!
The day started early, I woke up at 4.30am, having a need to pee, and slept another 2 hours, before my brother woke up.
We packed the rest of hour stuff and checked out at 7.45, and waited for our taxi to take us to the airport, as the flight lifted at 10.40.
The trip to the airport went faster than I expected, we got to the airport around 8.20. So we went around the airport for a bit, then checked in our bags and went through security.
We bought some booze from tax free and went to our gate, which opened earlier than expected. We lifted at right time and landed in Berlin 40 min afterwards.
We started thinking on how we are going to get to the hotel, we decided on the flight bus to the train station and tried to go to the underground, and I tried to buy tickets, but they didn´t accept visa. so we took a taxi from there, which went very quick!
We got to the hotel at 1pm, but the check in time was around 3pm, so we left our bags there and took a stroll, first to Checkpoint Charlie, as the hotel is 1 minute from it, and the took a stroll to Potsdamer platz, and then to Reichstag, were my camera´s battery went out. so we walked back and checked in at the hotel.
After we checked in, we thought that we didn´t have any power, but we then realised that we have to put one of our door cards into a slot to work the electricity. We then went to grab something to eat, at an restaurant very close by, we realised it is cheaper in Prague.

We then chilled a bit at the hotel, and then took a stroll to Victoria Park, which had an awesome waterfall! We walked back and watched some South Park videos on youtube!

Let´s see what tomorrow has in store for us!

Hello!

This is the last day in Prague.
We woke up about 8am and chilled to 9.45, where we walked to St Ludmilas Church, and from there to the National Museum. We did also take a stroll to the train station and back to the National Museum. We found a place that sells Duff beer (yes the beer from Simpson), so we bought some!
After that we ate some lunch and went to Charles bridge for the last time, before heading back to the hotel. We chilled for a bit and went for a walk. We went south and saw a walkway over a tunnel, which was a way to a park, which was awesome!
We later went and grabbed something to eat, and when we finished, it started to rain!
So we went back to the hotel, took a shower and started packing for the flight to Berlin tomorrow!

Firing range and a walk around town!

Good evening!

Today we woke up around 7, chilling with some breakfast until a car picked us up, to go to the firing range.
It was a 40 min drive. The instructor gave us a short introduction on the safety of the weapons.
My brother Johan started off first with the Shotgun, and then it was my turn. After that we went to the other weapons. Going from Pistols (Glock and a .357 Magnum), to submachine guns (UZI and Scorpion EVO) to Assault Rifles (AR-15 and AK47).
To me, the recoil on both the Glock and EVO was greater than expected. Johan started first again going through said weapons, and then it was my turn again. After everything was shot up, we had an option to add other weapons to try out, to additional cost. I chose to fire 1 bullet of a Desert Eagle 50AE and 5 bullets from a Mosin Nagant, while my brother chose not doing it.

After that we went to another part of the range and tested out and SVD. the recoil from that was huge, but did get a decent score from that, hit 4 of 5 bullets.

It was a great morning! The only gripe I have is that the AR-15 was in 9mm instead of 5.56.
When we got back to the hotel we decided to go out and take another walk, going to Vysehrad. On the way there we looked at Emmaus Monestary, Appollinaris Maternity hospital, and Pavlov monestary before arriving at Vysehrad. We looked around the nearby cemetery before heading back.
Afterwards we chilled at the hotel before heading to a nearby restaurant to grab something to eat. Johan wanted to have a Trdelnik (chimney cake) so we headed to Charles bridge to get one. On the way there we looked for John Lennon Wall (a wall of paintings dedicated to John Lennon).
After we got our Trdelnik we headed back to the hotel.

When we came back, I decided to take a shower and dropped my phone on the floor, and cracked the glass, which was so bad that the buttons doesn´t work anymore, Which sucks!

Otherwise it has been a great day!

Hello!
Today we have walked a lot!
The day started at 7am for me, chilling on the computer for a bit, and my brother woke up, we went next door to the minimarket and bought some breakfast, and discussed on were to go today.

We decided to first go to Petrin Tower, and have a look. Perrin tower is an observation tower, which had a nice view over the city, it took us a while to get there, as it was on a hill, but when we got there, it was worth it. It cost about 120 Korunas (czech money = 5USD) to get up there.

Afterwards we went to Straw monetary, where we unintentionally met one of my friends! we chatted for a bit and went our ways. Me and my brother later went to Prague Castle and had some lunch.
After that we went to another hill and chilled for a bit. then we went to the Astronomical Clock and Wencelas Square. Later on we walked to Charles Bridge again and grabbed a Trdelnik, and walked back by the river to the hotel.
When we got back, we chilled at the hotel, because we walked a lot. We then went around the corner at grabbed some dinner and have been chilling all evening. I feel tired from all the walking.

Tomorrow we are going to a firing range and shot some guns!

Down below I´ll show you some footage from Kiev!

Arrived in Prague!

Hello!
We have arrived in Prague!
The day started early, which was not voluntarily, woke up about 6.30 and chilled on the computer for a bit, until breakfast.
We packed the last bits and chilled some more before the taxi arrived at 9.30am. The flight lifted at 13.10 so we were early when the taxi got us there at 10.00, we checked in our bags and went through security. The TSA people apparently found something in my bag, and checked it again, removing most of my stuff (that I had to put in the bag again). but eventually was cleared.
When we went through security, we saw that the flight was delayed till 14.00, so we walked around, watching the duty free shop a couple of times, seeing a whiskey bottle costing 5500 euro. it was a 58 year old one.
When the flight lifted, we managed to get some sleep.
We got the bags without a hitch and took a cab to the hotel, and the room is like an apartment! Pretty Sweet! We then went to grab something to eat, and realised that beer cost less than a coca cola!

We took a walk through town, seeing the Charles Bridge amongst other things!

Tomorrow, will be another filled day!

Chernobyl and Pripyat!

Hello!
Yesterday we went to Chernobyl and Pripyat.
The day started with waking up about 6.30, to have time to wake up before breakfast, which was about 7am.
After breakfast, we did our morning business and went to meet up the Coordinator of the trip.
We payed for the trip and got an Geiger counter. The trip was with two buses, and in our bus, there were only Swedish people! which was awesome!

The trip to the Checkpoints (the exclusion zone includes a 30km zone and a 10km zone) took about 2 hours, with a passport check.
We went past Wormwood memorial pretty quickly. and we went to a preschool who had certain hotspots (with higher radiation).
We went from there to the reservoir, from where we could see all of the reactors.
We went from there to Reactor 4, which was intense, even though it was the second time I was there!
We went from there to Pripyat town, which we saw a lot of things, Lenin Square, the football field, the amusement park and so forth.
We did even go into a building and went up on a roof, to get to the roof, we had to climb a latter and go out into a small window. John did great there!
We then went to the swimming pool and a school. Then we headed to the cantina and got some food, a steak and potatoes, which was good and necessary.
Then we started heading back to Kiev, going through the checkpoints and see if we had any contamination, which was fine, and we slept through the trip to Kiev.

We came back around 18.15. We went around town afterwards for the last time, before packing for today, as we are going to Prague today!

Today did we do a lot of things! We went to prince Volodymyrs statue, and from there we went to St Sophias square.

From there we went to the botanical gardens, were John almost sprained his ankle. so ww went back to the hotel. By this time, it was starting to rain.
We took a nap, and then we went beyond the independence Square, and went to grab some food. The weather changed a lot.

We don´t have anything planned for tonight, and tomorrow we are heading to Chernobyl!

We have arrived in Kiev!

I slept over at my parents house, to they doesn´t have to get me from across town, and we left home at 9am, picking up my brother Johan (Swedish for John). Arriving at the airport about 9.20am.

We checked in the bags and looked around the airport, which is very small. We went through the security around 10am, as the flight left at 10.30.

The flight went as planned and after we landed in Arlanda (Stockholm), we went for lunch and ate some sushi. After that we looked around the airport, which is much bigger than Umeå Airport!
The flight to Kiev left at 15.05. The flight went smoothly and We grabbed our bags, after we got the bags, a guy was pushing us to get a taxi, trying to overcharge us for it, but we lowered the price. We got to the hotel about 19.30, and checked in. The hotel is very close to Independence Square. We went to grab some food at Mcds and took a walk.

Let´s see what tomorrow has in store for us!
