I am home!

I´m Finally home, after over a day of traveling!
It started on Monday, as I woke up early, after a bad night of sleep, after all the excitement from the games!
I chilled on the computer till 9.30 and started packing, which went quick, so I chilled some more and checked out of the hostel 10.45am. I went down to 42nd Street to have a last meal at John´s Pizzeria, one of my favourite places to eat!
I walked down to 34th street/Penn Station, to get a train to Newark.
When I get to Newark, the problems started!
I tried to check in, and for some reason it didn´t work! So I talked to the representatives of SAS, which said that the flight to Stockholm was cancelled, without informing me! So they rebooked me to fly to Frankfurt, and then to Stockholm and Umeå.
The flight lifted at 19.45 (instead of 17.55 as was planned), and for some reason the flight went slower than planned, so I only had 40 minutes to get through security and get to the gate to Stockholm. I got there with 30 minutes to spare, but when I tried to get through the gate, it didn´t work.
So I talked to the representatives again, which told me that SAS didn´t think that I would make it to the gate, so they rebooked me again, so I had to wait 2 more hours to get to Stockholm.
The flights from Frankfurt went well, and my flight from Stockholm went at 17.45, and went smooth!

So I got back 6 hours later than expected, but I got home!

Last day in New York!

Yesterday (Read Sunday) was the last full day, my last full day, here in New York! At least for now!
It was a change from other days here. It was cloudy and the temperature got colder than other days. Winter is Coming!
It started with Breakfast at Toms, again. and chilled before heading to Madison Square Garden to see the first of two games. Basketball game between New York Knicks vs Atlanta Hawks.
I noticed that the Knicks fans tried to psych out the other players, whenever there were a free shot.
The game ended in Knicks favour. The end score were 104-94.
After the game I went back to the hostel and chilled for a bit (and uploading the footage from the game). before heading back to Madison Square Garden to see game nr 2: New York Rangers vs Florida Panthers.

I did see them a couple of years ago and a Swedish goalie named Henrik Lundqvist wasn´t in the goal then, but he was now!
The game was exciting, they're going back and forth. Rangers got one goal removed because one player kicked it in.
The game continued into overtime, as the result full time was 2-2. No one scored during the overtime, so it went to a shootout, which sadly, Florida won!
It was a good game though!

My Birthday in New York!

Hello Everybody! Yesterday (Nov 19th) was my birthday! This is how I celebrated it!
I woke up, and had some breakfast, I must admit, your pancakes are addictive! Then I decided, I wanted to check out the Hell´s Kitchen flea market, which me and a friend tried to check out the last time we was here. So I went there, and it was´t as big as I thought it would be. But I bought some stuff for my parents!

After that I headed to The Metropolitan museum, which I was planning on seeing on the 18th, but didn´t. And the place is huge! I was there a couple of hours and I certainly missed a lot of it!
My favourite part of the museum was the medieval part, seeing all the armour and stuff!

After that I decided to head back to the hostel and chill for a bit. in the evening I went to a club and partied for a bit, and it started to f**king rain in the night, so I was soaked when I got home!

Hello!
I woke later than usual, but still early, so I chilled on the computer, as I always do, before heading to Toms, which I had done before, and had to go to the bathroom afterwards.
And now I started my quest for comics, I collect The Punisher Max series one issues, as you can see in the video down below!
I first went to a store close to Times square, which had´t any that I wanted, So I went to another close to Grand Central (I got footage from both Times Square and Grand Central for a future video!), which had some that I wanted, so I bought them of course! After that I wanted to try out the feeling of going to a barbershop, which I did. Turned out awesome!
After that I decided to go to Central park, which is Hugh Mungus! Took me a couple of hours, but it´s worth it!
After that I planned on going to the Metropolitan museum, but was too tired, so I´m planning that on my birthday tomorrow! I am turning 30 tomorrow!

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!

Hello!
I went to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island today, let me tell you the story.
I had a relatively bad night, slept badly, as some of my roommates snore, so I woke up around 6am, and chilled on the computer till 8, before I went and bought some supplies for the tour to the Statue of Liberty, and I felt that I hadn´t time to go eat breakfast, that I have been doing these couple of days.

So I took the subway down to South Ferry (which took over 30min from 103rd Street). I got on the ferry to Liberty Island, Which I had prebooked in Sweden. I had the chance to go into the pedestal (not the crown because i had to book that one way in advance), which I did, it had a nice museum.
After more than a hour of walking around, I took the ferry to Ellis Island, which people who immigrated to the US went to in the early 20th century, to get accepted into the country. It has another museum, on how it was during that time period. It was nice to see, but I was getting tired because of the bad night.
So about noon I went back to New York, to Battery park. From there I decided to check out a comic book store on Fulton Street, to see if they had any comics that I wanted (I collect the Punisher Max series), which they hadn´t.
After that I decided to go to Natural History museum (another museum, when you´re tired?), I wanted to see the exhibits and have a look around, since it´s almost free.
So I spent an hour checking out the place, before going back to the hostel and having a rest, since I have walked lots today!

Sunny day in Brooklyn!

Hello!
I went to Brooklyn today, I started the day with breakfast in another diner (and coincidentally a diner where me and I friend of mine have been to the last time we were here!) and took the subway to 7th avenue in Brooklyn.
I have looked into going to Prospect park, which I did and had a look around, which was nice!
Brooklyn Museum was close by, so I went there and had a look, which was interesting. After that I want to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, so I walked from the museum to the bridge, which took a while. But I did cross the bridge, It´s my third time doing it, but it was awesome all the same.
After that I went straight to the hostel because I was tired from all the walking. A roommate asked me to join her at the Top of the rocks, which I agreed. It costs 35 dollars, and even though the view is good, it isn´t worth the price!

Exploring on a rainy day!

Hello!
Today has been a very rainy day, it has poured down!
The day started with me waking up at 6am, having to go to the bathroom, and after failing to fall asleep afterwards, I chilled on the computer for a couple of hours, before going to Tom´s (which exterior is often seen in Seinfeld), and grabbing some pancakes. That small trip soaked me.
So I tried do wait out the weather, but I got impatient and went on with my plan.
I first headed to Madison Square Garden, and bought tickets to Sundays Knicks and Rangers game (Two games in one day? YES!). I then headed to the High Line, which is a garden on a former train line. It was still raining at this point, So I headed inside Chelsea Market and did some christmas shopping. Doing it early!
After that I wanted to go to Chinatown, but seeing the World Trade Center in a distance, I changed my mind and decided to go there and Chinatown and the way back.
So I walked to WTC and saw the memorial, what an eerie feeling! From there I walked to Chinatown, which isn´t much to see, I tried to find Little Italy, but I missed it.
From there I decided to head back, because I have walked a lot and was very wet.
When I got back I noticed that the envelope with the tickets was soaked, even though it was in my bag, but the tickets were not that badly damaged, hope they will manage before the game!

Hello! I have arrived in New York!

The Day started at 6am, as I didn´t want to stress in the morning, as I finished my packing and called for my brother to pick me up.
He had slept badly because he watched a basketball match, but I made it to the airport nonetheless.
The flights went smoothly, arriving att Newark International airport. The line to security went smoother than expected, and grab my bag almost immediately!
I took the train to Pen Station in NYC (As Newark is in New Jersey) and took the subway to 103rd street, where the hostel is!
I have stayed here overtime I have been to New York!
afterchecking in, I went to 44th street and John´s, which is one of my favourite restaurants! I started with some guys, one was from Texas, who was visiting a friend who was living in NYC.
After the chat and some dinner, I went to Times Square, to check it out, even though I have seen it a couple of times by now. It´s still a sight though!
After that I went and saw Empire State Building from a distance, which was awesome!

Preparations for New York!

11/6/2016

Hello Everybody!
I have made some preparations for the trip to New York City!

I have bought tickets to go to Liberty Island, and a friend recommended me the best price for (18 bucks for it was good).
The most important preparation for the trip is the ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation), which I have to apply for to get into the US, even though I´m having a layover. The thing is valid for 2 years and are allowed to spent 3 months in the US during that time period!
The last thing I need to do is get some currency, but it´s expensive at the moment, so I´m waiting for after the election to see if it goes down a bit!
