Hello! How are you doing?
I know it´s been a while, but I have been busy with work, which has taken a lot of energy, but I think it´s time to update the blog.
I have a few trips planned, but it´s kinda far away. A trip with my older brother is going to happen in the summer, where and when isn´t decided yet.
I do plan on going to Australia in November, do celebrate my 30th Birthday!
I have been asked to go to USA in April, but I don´t know if I could afford it, and if I could get days off to go there, do you think I should do it?

Hello Everybody!
Since Amsterdam, I have been working in a Psychiatric ward, which is interesting and fun!

What are your future plans for traveling?

Well, I am planning on traveling with my brother in the summertime, we don´t know where and when.
I am also planning on heading to Australia in November, to celebrate my 30th birthday abroad (I´m old, I know! :P)
I am of course open for suggestions, and it might happen that I travel somewhere else, maybe do a domestic trip!

Chateau De Noisy pending to be demolished

Hello Everybody!
I heard that the owners of Chateau De Noisy is at it again!
It was scheduled to be Demolished last year, which was a reason I went to Belgium! Sadly I didn´t get to see it!

But now the owners are applying to demolish it again!
It hasn´t a date on when it´s going to happen, But they are still planning it!

Why not restoring it? People are interested on seeing it, as people sneak in all the time!
The Value of the Chateau is amazing, as it is a Belgian Landmark, and as said, people go and see it all the time, even though they have security trying to fend people off!

It´s said that they are going to destroy a beautiful building

Home from Amsterdam!

Hello Everybody!
I got home from Amsterdam yesterday!
Yesterday started by waking up at 7am and finished packing and left the hostel (St Christophers/Winston) at 8am and walked to the train station and took the train to Shiphol Airport.
There was a problem for me checking in my bag, because I thought the bag was included in the price, but apparently not, but fortunately I could have it as a carry on, but I had to throw away my deodorant and shampoo.
It took quite a long time to go through security, because they had to scan my bag a couple of times, but I did manage to arrive on time t my flight. The flights from Amsterdam to Copenhagen, and from Copenhagen to Arlanda/Stockholm went smoothly.
I had 3 hours to kill in Arlanda, so I went to grab something to eat.
When I arrived at the gate, waiting for my flight, it eventually became late, for different reasons like mechanical reasons and they had for some reason recheck the bags. But it was only an hour late, and I finally got to fly home.

What Do I think of Amsterdam?

I think Amsterdam is a nice city, with a lot to see and do. as you can see in to videos.
A lot of museums like Anne Frank House, Rijkmuseum, Van Gogh Museum amongst other things to see.
I took a different approach to this trip, as last time I was in Amsterdam I partied more (even though I still celebrated the new years this time as well).
I stayed in a hostel named St Christophers/Winston, who were nice enough to switch me from a more expensive twin room, to a 6 bed room, which was what I wanted.
The hostel had free breakfast in a pub just next door.

The best thing of this trip was visiting Fort Bourtange (see earlier posts), which was awesome!
Do I recommend coming here?
Yes I do, there´s so much to see, and if you want to party, it is a nice place as well.

Last Day in Amsterdam!

Hello Everybody!
Today is my last day in Amsterdam. I took a walk to Vondelipark, which was nice!
How has it been in Amsterdam?
It was actually kinda warm, as certain days I could walk without a jacket on (still wearing a sweater and long pants mind you).
The best part of this trip must be Bourtange (as it is on my bucket list), even though it wasn´t much to see, it was still beautiful and worth it!

I might start packing now, because my flight leaves at 10 am tomorrow!

Happy New Year Everybody!
I had a bad night, sleeping badly, and woke up at 8am.

I went to breakfast and felt I needed a nap, which I took.

I later went outside and bought some water, and stumbled upon a Lion Dance show, and since I have done it myself (over 5 years ago mind you), I was interested by it.

I later went to some parks and looked around, and bought myself a strawberry crusted waffle, which was delicious!

I started to feel a headache, so I took some paracetamols and took another nap!

A trip to Fort Bourtange

Hello!
I took a trip to Fort Bourtange today.
The day started by waking up 07.15 and chilled on the computer until 08, when breakfast opened up.
I then chilled some more to let the gastrointestinal reflex to kick in.
I then walked to the train station at 09 and took the train to Groningen, via Lelystad.
I then took the train from Groningen to Windshotsen and took the bus to Vlagtwedde.
When I researched how to go to Fort Bourtange, I didn´t find any information that I had to call a certain number one hour in advance to have them pick me up. Which I found out when I arrived in Vlagtwedde. A nice lady helped me by calling them and fixing it up, So I had one hour to kill Vlagtweede.

When I finally arrived in Fort Bourtange, at 15.40, I was happy! The place is so beautiful! With old cannons, old buildings amongst other things!
When it was time to go back, I asked for help again to call the people who drove me there, to drive me back, the guy who called them told me that it was too late. Then something amazing happened! The guy actually offered to drive me himself to the trainstation! Thank you!
The trip back went smooth, took the same route home!

What did it cost? It cost about 50-60 Euros for the whole trip from Amsterdam - Fort Bourtange and back.

Happy New Year Everybody!
I went to Nieuw Market Square, trying to see the fireworks, which I later found out it weren´t any, Except for people using their own.
So I went back and saw a few firework shows in the canals!
After that I went back to the hostel and partied a little bit (No, no booze or drugs were involved). and went to bed about 2am.

I later woke up at 8am, chilling until breakfast opened up by 9.
After breakfast I looked up to see when Anne Frank House opened up, which it said was about 9. So I went there early because I wanted to skip the line.
It was a fairly small line, compared to earlier, but when I got there they said they opened at noon, so I had to wait in line for 45minutes, but when they finally opened up, it went relatively fast to get.

What do I think of it?

It´s my second time here, and I do enjoy it, seeing how they lived, when they were in hiding and hearing the history of what happened to them amongst other things. I can totally recommend it!
