Yesterday we went to Chernobyl and Pripyat.
The day started with waking up about 6.30, to have time to wake up before breakfast, which was about 7am.
After breakfast, we did our morning business and went to meet up the Coordinator of the trip.
We payed for the trip and got an Geiger counter. The trip was with two buses, and in our bus, there were only Swedish people! which was awesome!
We went past Wormwood memorial pretty quickly. and we went to a preschool who had certain hotspots (with higher radiation).
We went from there to the reservoir, from where we could see all of the reactors.
We went from there to Reactor 4, which was intense, even though it was the second time I was there!
We went from there to Pripyat town, which we saw a lot of things, Lenin Square, the football field, the amusement park and so forth.
We did even go into a building and went up on a roof, to get to the roof, we had to climb a latter and go out into a small window. John did great there!
We then went to the swimming pool and a school. Then we headed to the cantina and got some food, a steak and potatoes, which was good and necessary.
Then we started heading back to Kiev, going through the checkpoints and see if we had any contamination, which was fine, and we slept through the trip to Kiev.
We came back around 18.15. We went around town afterwards for the last time, before packing for today, as we are going to Prague today!
