Hello everybody! Sorry for not writing yesterday, it was a long day!
As you might see in the title, we are now in Castle Donington! But let's talk about the second and last day in London, which was an interesting and long day!
Yesterday started quite early again, waking up at 6 am, which I didn't mean to. so we chilled for a bit, going to the bathroom and chilled some more until we started to head for the Tower of London. We decided to head inside, and had a look around! It was my third time there, but my brothers first time! He did enjoy it!
We did see the Crown Jewels amongst other things! I will show the video down below!
We then crossed Tower Bridge, and walked past HMS Belfast to Borough Market and had Lunch! I had a burger, and my brother had some Mac and cheese. After that we walked to St Pauls Cathedral, crossing the London Bridge on the way.
After that we went to Portobello Market and had a look around! We looked for something for my dad, but we didn't find anything. I found something for myself though!
After that we went to Covent garden, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus! Leicester square had some statues from the new Transformers movie. Then we headed back, chilled for a bit, and then went out for something to eat. Then we chilled for the rest of the evening!
The next day (hence today) I woke up quite early again! Chilling for a bit, then having breakfast, and packing the rest of the stuff, which went quicker than expected! After packing we got ready, checked out of the hotel, and walked to the St Pancras station, and bought tickets for the train to Loughborough.
We were early, like over an hour early. So we chilled around the station until the train popped up! We then hopped in and took the train to loughborough, which took just under 1.5 hours!
We arrived on time and took a taxi to the hotel, which was more expensive than expected. We got to the hotel, and it wasn't check in time yet, so we left the bags and called for another taxi to head to castle Donington!
Since a lot of people are going to Download festival and their camping area, there was a huge line at the road, which hindered taxis for coming through, so we had to wait over 1.5 hours to get another taxi.
It eventually came, and we headed to Castle Donington! The driver was quite chill, and dropped us off! we walked to a church and had a look. Then we walked around the village for a bit, and then walked outside the village, to a lookout to see the East Midlands Airport.
Then we walked back to the village and had some dinner at Dominos. I called for a taxi, and it was 2.5 hour wait because of traffic. I said no thanks, and found a bus stop that had bus going in our direction, so we managed to get a bus, which stopped close to the hotel.
We checked in and went to the room, which was quite chill! we have chilled ever since, resting up for Download festival tomorrow!
