One Week Later!

7/27/2026

Hello Everybody! It has been a week since I got back home from the 6 week long trip!
I got my luggage the next day I got home, which was nice, and I have met with my family a couple of times during the week! I did also get an insurance for the car and dealing with the insurance thing!

The rest of the week I have just been resting, doing some laundry, and just staying at home! I have met with some friends during the weekend as well! Otherwise I have not doing much at all!
Since the past weeks has been amazing and when being home, I have felt like "what am I going to do now?"

But to be fair, I have two more trips coming up, London and Japan, and then I will be getting back to work!
London it will be Primus, as I managed to get tickets to the show! In Japan it will be Electric Callboy in Tokyo, and will be spending some time in Osaka as well!
So it's going to be an interesting time!

Hello Everybody! I´m home after 6 weeks of traveling!
The day started with some terrible sleep! So I eventually chilled in bed for a bit, packed my stuff, and took my luggage down three floors, which was a hassle!
I waited for my ride to the airport, which finally came, and took me to the airport!

I fell asleep for a couple of minutes in the taxi, but it was alright! I arrived at the airport quicker than expected, which was surprising and I tried to use a terminal to check in, which didn't work, so I went to the counter and checked in, which was fine!
I went through security, which went smooth, and I had a look around, buying something to myself and my niece and nephew!

I chilled for a bit until my flight, which flew on time! When I arrived in Stockholm, I immediately went for my gate, as there wasn't a lot of time until boarding! But I managed to fill up some water bottles, and chill for a bit, until boarding, and I got a window seat, and slept some more!
My brother waited for me! But.... I didn't get my bags!

So I applied for delayed bags, and went home! I checked my mail, and noticed I got a huge bill, because during my trip the insurance of my car got dropped, and since the car needed to be insured, some sent a bill for everyday it wasn't insured! Which sucks!
So I didn't get my bags and need to pay a huge bill!

Last Day of the Trip!

Hello Everybody! It has been the last day of the trip!
The day started early, and I didn't want to! But I chilled in bed and eventually took an early nap! After the nap I chilled some more, being lazy as hell! I then decided to head out to town!
I took another route than usual, and I found the promenade!

I found a stand that sold stuff I could buy to my mom, but they only took cash, and I didn't have enough one me, so I had to leave, but I took out some just in case, if I would find it again!
I continued on, and walked up to the Hajduk Split Stadium, where I was last week, and then found a church near by!

Then I headed back to the promenade and chilled for a bit, and had some late lunch/early dinner! I then decided to try and find the place again, but I couldn't find it again! So I went back to the apartment, and bought some stuff for the ride home! Then I went back to the apartment and has chilled ever since!

Since it's the last day of the trip, I must say that I truly enjoyed the trip even though it has its ups and downs! It has cost more than expected! With needed extra luggage and other stuff! But I can afford it, and I can afford the next trip to London and Japan!
I´m also a bit nervous for my new job in September! But it will hopefully be fine!

Back in Split!

Hello Everybody! Now I´m back in Split!
The day started early, as I chilled in bed for a bit and then packed the rest of my stuff, and checked out at around 10am! The host helped me with one of the luggage and offered to help me to the train station! 5 star service right there!
Then I walked to the train station and bought a bus ticket, which was a bit more expensive than before!

As I suspected that I also need to pay for the bags, I withdrew some money, which was expensive as well!
I had to wait an hour for the bus, and it eventually came, and as I suspected, I needed to pay for the bags, which was a bit cheaper than before!
The bus ride went fine! I got my bags and started walking to the apartment, as this time I wanted to have an apartment for myself!

I walked east towards the apartment, and it was quite a walk, and it was very hot...... again! I eventually got there, but I had a little trouble of finding it, but I had messaged ahead about my arrival time and someone met up with me, and gave me instructions about the apartment! The apartment was on the top floor, which was rough considering 3 bags!

I had to do two runs, but I eventually got them up, and I chilled for a bit, maybe a bit longer than expected! I then went out for some supplies! Then I chilled some more, and then decided to head out! I walked to the coast, and walked along the beach, and then headed to the promenade!

I was surprised there wasn't a market on the promenade, as there one every night just last week! I found an asian store on google maps, and wanted to check it out, I wanted to see if they had any Pocari Sweat, as my supply are running out, but sadly they didn't have any!
I then went for some food! After that, I went back to the apartment! I have then chilled ever since!

Tomorrow is the last day of the trip! As I have said before, time has flown by so fast! I want of course to continue traveling, but I need to save up for the upcoming London and Japan trip!
It should be nice to be home for a bit as well! It is rough to be out on the road!

Lazy last day in Makarska!

Hello Everybody! It has been a lazy last day here in Makarska!
The day started early, I didn't want to, and I chilled for quite a while, until I decided to go to the beach for a swim!
I changed my clothes and went for a walk! It was very hot! I arrived at the beach and found a spot for my stuff and went in!

It was a bit cold, but not as cold as I expected! It was nice though! I sunbathed for a bit and going in and out for a bit!
After a while, I went back to the apartment and took a shower, removing the swim trunks and hung them up to dry! I then chilled for a bit, and then headed out for a walk!

I had a goal to find some postcards, as I collect them, I eventually found some, and while I was searching, I saw something that looked interesting, so I went back and got it for myself, and went back to the apartment and packed it! I then immediately went for dinner! After dinner, I went back to the apartment and started packing a little bit!

I like it here in Makarska! It's not a lot of things to do, but it feels more relaxed than in Split! For example, Split has a market every day at the promenade, while I have only seen one market on one day here in Makarska!
The weather has been very hot here, with no rain at all! I had some rain in Split, but not here! It was also nice to revisit Brac Island as well!

I have two days in Split, before I fly back home to Sweden! 6 weeks has flown by so fast! I have done a lot of things during these weeks! 2 festivals, with quite a few day trips, while revisiting a lot of places! Because technically I have been to almost every place before on this trip!
The only place that has been new was Ghent, which was on my bucket list so it was nice to check that off the list!

This trip has been expensive though, more expensive than expected! I can afford it though! With buying stuff for other people, and buying more stuff for myself, made it more expensive!
Then I´m going to be home for a month, then I will be flying off to London for a couple of days, and when I get home from London, I will only be home for one night and then fly off to Japan!

The reason I´m going on both trips is for Concerts! Primus in London, and Electric Callboy in Tokyo, I had already planned and booked Osaka, as I was hoping to get a ticket for Electric Callboy in Osaka, but I only got a ticket for Tokyo! But it will be nice to explore more of Japan!

A long walk and going to Brac Island!

Hello Everybody! Sorry for not writing anything yesterday, as I was very tired!
Yesterday started early, as I woke up early, and chilled for a bit! I then decided to head out, and went to the promenade and headed east, as there was another peninsula of sorts that I wanted to walk!

I walked along the coastline, and it was kinda rough, with uneven terrain, but it was manageable! I arrived at Nugal Beach, and chilled for a bit! I didn't bring swimming trunks so I didn't jump in the water!
After a while, I walked back, and taking another route back! It took a while but I got back to the apartment, and recharged my stuff!

Then I saw a church on google maps, which looked interesting, so I decided to head over there, and holy shit, the incline to get there was crazy! It was a hard walk, with the incline and heat! I was covered in sweat, even though I brought water with me!

I eventually get there, and it was very small, so it wasn't worth the walk! But the view over the city was nice though! I decided to head back and walking a different route this time as well, which I had to be a bit careful, since the incline were quite steep!
I eventually got down and went to the apartment again, left my water, the little that was left!

I then went for more supplies, and then headed out for dinner! I had some Pasta which was nice! I then chilled for the rest of the night, since I wanted to conserve energy for today! As today I went to Brac Island! an hour boat ride from Makarska!

Today started early, this time on purpose, as I wanted to take an early boat to Brac! I chilled for a bit, and packed a little bag for this, with extra water and some snacks!
I then went to the promenade, where the boat will be! I bought the tickets for the boat and got on the boat!

The boat ride took about 50min, and I got off Sumartin, which a very small village on the island, and walked around the city for a bit, going to a church, and then walking along the beach for a bit!
I then started walking the other direction, and walked to Selca, a village a bit inland! It was very hot, so I had to take some water breaks long the way!

I found a cemetery that looked interesting, so I went in there and had a look!
I then walked up Selca, which also had a church! I chilled for a bit, since it was kinda rough to walk up there in the heat, not as bad as yesterday! I chilled there for a bit!
I then walked down back to Sumartin, and had to wait for a bit for the boat back to Makarska! I had an Ice cream while I waited!

I eventually got on the boat, and went back to Makarska! I went directly to the apartment and has chilled ever since! It was nice being back there, as I was there in 2020!
Tomorrow is the last day here in Makarska, as I will be going back to Split on Saturday, and then going home on Monday!
Tomorrow will probably be a chill day, and I might just go to the beach, and have a beach day!

First Day in Makarska Croatia!

7/14/2026

Hello Everybody! It has been the first full day in Makarska!
The day started early, as my body got used to waking up early from my time in Split! I tried to get back to sleep, but I gave up, and chilled for a bit! I then took a nap! I chilled some more and then decided to head out!

I headed to the promenade and walked to the peninsula and walked around it, seeing St Peters monument, St Peters Church, where they seem to excavate some things, and continuing to St Peters Lighthouse!
I then walked along the beach, where I met a friendly cat! I walked quite far along the beach, and decided to head back to the apartment!

I chilled for a bit, recharging my stuff, and then heading out for dinner, it took a bit to find something interesting, but I found a place who had some decent Pasta!
I then walked around for a bit, until deciding to head back to the apartment, and had chilled ever since!
We will see what I will do tomorrow, as I might go to Brac, or walking around another peninsula!

I like it here, as it is more relaxing than Split! Even though Split itself is bigger, and might have more to see and do, Makarska is more relaxing!

Arriving in Makarska Croatia!

Hello Everybody! I have arrived in Makarska!
The day started very early, as people were coming back from the festival! I slept some morel nd chilled for a bit, and then started packing!
I checked out from the hostel, and walked to the bus station!

I walked through the promenade and I arrived at the bus station! I bought a ticket for the bus and I had to wait an hour for the bus, but the bus was late! It eventually came, and I got on, and I had to pay extra for my luggage!
I got on the bus, and it eventually arrived in Makarska!

Thankfully the apartment was close to the bus station, so I had just a short walk, and the owner met up with me, kinda surprised, since he want to get in touch me, wanting to know when I would arrive! But I got in the apartment, and chilled for a bit, maybe longer than expected and then went out! First impression was that it seems more relaxed than Split!

I went for some supplies, which I left at the apartment, and then went out for some dinner! I noticed that it were a food market on the promenade! I eventually found a burger place!
As I said earlier, I find Makarska more relaxed than Split! So we will see what I will do tomorrow!

Last day in Split!

7/12/2026

Hello Everybody! It has been the last day in Split.. For now, as I will be coming back next week, just for two days though!
The day started early, as people were coming in from the festival, and I tried to get some more sleep! But gave up, so I chilled in bed for a bit!

I then decade to head out, going southeast! I went through old town and the promenade and going past two hospitals, and then heading south, to get to some beaches!
The weather was hot so it took a while! But I got to the beaches, and had a look! I didn't jump in the water! I didn't have my bathing shorts on!

I then walked back and chilled for a bit, recharging my stuff, and then headed out for dinner! I then chilled ever since!
I like it here, but I could have timed it better, not being here during a festival! The hostel itself is decent but, with some heads up!
Tomorrow I will head to Makarska, and will be there util Saturday! It will be my third time there, as it is also my third time in Split!

It is also one week left of my trip! I have been out for 5 weeks already! Time flies by so fast! The trip itself have cost more than expected, but I can afford it!

Thunderous day in Split!

Hello Everybody! It has been a thunderous day here in Split!
I woke early, as people were coming in and out since there is an EDM festival here in Split!
So I chilled in bed for a bit, and then headed out quite early!

I decided to head ben further Northeast, since I saw an old Viaduct on the map, and wanted to check it out! I managed to just walk a little bit, until it started raining, with some thunder! I waited out the rain and when it died down, I started walking again!
It was a long walk, but I finally got there! It was nice!

After seeing it, I decided to head back, and I saw heavy clouds coming! I managed to get quite far back, until it started raining like cray again! When it died down enough, I headed the rest of the way to the hostel! I took a shower and chilled for a bit!

I then decided to head out and grab something to eat, and walk along the promenade, going a little bit further east! Which was nice!
I then decided to head back to the hostel, and has chilled ever since!

First and Second full day in Split!

7/10/2026

Hello Everybody! I´m a day late with my blog!
Yesterday started early, and I chilled for a it, until going out! I decided to go to the Marjan lookout, but taking the long way there! I first went through the centre of town and then headed along the coast, passing some beaches along the way!

Then I finally arrived at the back entrance to the Marjan lookout, but it was still a bit to go! I walked by some churches, and then also some bunkers! Then I finally arrived at the lookout and it had an amazing view over the city! Then I walked the short road back, but with a lot of stairs!

I then went back to the hostel, and chilled for a bit, recharging my stuff, and then headed out for dinner! After dinner I headed out for a walk, and walked to the city's football stadium, and saw a lot of people there! There was apparently a Football game, Hajduk Split vs MSK Zilina! If I knew a head of time, I would have gotten tickets for it!

Then I went back to the hostel and heard some weird stuff, that the night before I came here, the owner of this hostel apparently offered drugs to someone here, and then eventually s*xually assaulted her! WTF! It's totally weird!
Then some volunteers who have been here when I checked in apparently got fired too, for some reason!

Which leads to today! Which has some terrible sleep, as one of the roommates were leaving early, and someone was just arriving and there were an argument!
But it went fine, I continued sleeping! I chilled for a bit! I then decided to do some laundry, and it took a while, I walked around for a bit while doing it!

It eventually got done, and I took it back to the hostel, and managed all of it! There was a new arrival coming in while I was doing the laundry, and we talked for a it!
Then I decided to head out, so I started going north, past the stadium I passed yesterday! I found a church, and kept going, and found a military base!

So Of course I walked away from that and continued east! I saw The Croatian Maritime museum on the map, I walked over there! I didn't get inside but there were things to see outside! I chilled for a it and then started to walk to the beach promenade! Which is always a beautiful sight! I had something small to eat!

Then I came back to the hostel and has chilled ever since! I will of course head out for some late dinner and maybe watch the sunset!

Arriving in Split!

7/8/2026

Hello Everybody! I have arrived in Split now!
The day started early, as I woke up naturally, and chilled for a bit! I then started packing, and I have to plan on how I packed my stuff, I managed and went out for the taxi to the airport!

It was the same driver who drove me to the apartment! The drive went smooth, and I checked in my bags, having to pay 40euro for the second bag! Which was cheaper than going to Zagreb!
I went through security smoothly, and the flight went fine! I got my bags relatively quick and had a driver waiting for me!

The ride to the hostel went for quite a while, since the airport was far from the city! But I eventually got there, and checked in! I got a bottom bunk bed, which I love!
After checking in, I went out for a walk, along the promenade, which had a market, and looked nice!
I then went to the hostel and recharged my stuff!
I then went out for dinner, and after dinner, some Americans noticed my shirt, and we had a good chat!

I then went for a walk, going through some parks and through the old town! It was beautiful! Then I headed back to the hostel, while writing this, I talked with some of my roommates, which one is from Czech Republic and another is from Canada!
We will see what I will do tomorrow!

Last day in Zagreb!

7/7/2026

Hello Everybody! It has been the last day here in Zagreb!
It start rather chill, with some decent sleep, but at the same time, I´m starting to feel a bit burn out!
But eventually, I headed out! I started to go northeast!

The goal was to walk to Maksimir Park, which was quite a long walk! I saw quite a few good things on the way, like Maksimir Stadium!
I eventually arrived and went inside the park, which was big! I walked around a few lakes and saw a tower amongst other things!

After a while I started to head back, but going to the centre of town, for a last look! The walk was long, but worth it! I then headed back to the hotel/apartment and chilled for a bit, and then headed out for some dinner, just across the street!
What do I think of Zagreb? It is a nice city! With lots of cathedrals, lots of park amongst other things! I have been lucky with the weather!

Botanical Gardens amongst other things!

Hello Everybody! It has been the second full day here in Zagreb!
The day started early, as I had a bad sleep, so I took a nap during the morning and chilled for a bit! I then went to buy some supplies, and then went to the Botanical Gardens, I brought some cash with me this time, as I didn't have cash on me yesterday!

I walked around the gardens for a bit which was nice!
I then decided to head south, which I knew there was a lake (which I have been to before) so I started walking, since there was a long walk!
I eventually got there and it was a nice area, I chilled here for a bit, since it was still hot!

After a while I decided to head back, since I saw suspicious clouds coming! on the way back, I felt some drops of rain! On the way, one person needed my help getting someone on a wheelchair to get to the sidewalk, and I got a weird feeling, but I helped nonetheless.
I then went to an asian store, looking for something Japanese, but they didn't have it, so I went back to the hotel, and chilled for longer than expected, since I recharged my stuff!

I then went out for some dinner, just across the street from my hotel, and I chilled for a bit outside, since it was a bit colder than inside the room!
But then I went back inside and chilled some more! Tomorrow is the last day in Zagreb, as I will head to Split on Wednesday!

First full day in Zagreb!

7/5/2026

Hello Everybody! It has been the first full day here in Zagreb!
The day started early, as I couldn't sleep properly because of the heat! So I chilled in bed for a bit, and then decided to head out!
I walked down to the botanical garden, there were an entrance fee, and I didn't have cash on me, so I moved on (still might go there later on!)

So I walked to the Croatian association of fine arts, which was under construction! Then I walked further north amongst a park, just chilling! Since it was hot! Then I walked to the Zagreb Cathredal, and went inside! That was also under construction!
Then I walked around the centre of town, which had a lot of pubs and restaurants!

Then I decided to head for an early dinner! I went for some Pizza! When I was done, it started to rain, so I waited out the rain for a bit! It stopped rather quickly and I walked back to the hotel and chilled for a bit! I then decided to go out for an evening walk, and saw things that I missed during the day!
My impression is that it is an underrated city! Sure there are tags everywhere, but from what I have seen, the city is still beautiful!
